This summer could see a real shuffle in the Liverpool squad.

With midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum set to leave the club, Liverpool will need to find a replacement for him.

A number of players have been linked with a move to the club but one name has caught the media’s eye.

According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, as cited by AnfieldWatch on Twitter, Liverpool are favourites to sign Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.

The news initially came from Ornstein’s transfer roundup, stating the Reds are set to beat Real Madrid for his signature…

The youngster is a fantastic player and one of the best young talents in Europe.

At just 18-years-old, Stade Rennais midfielder Camavinga already possesses the qualities of an ultimate professional.

With pace, power, athleticism, and fantastic spacial awareness on the pitch – Camavinga is a player for the future.

However, a current market value of £54million could see the Reds having to pay top dollar for his signature.

Despite that, it seems as though the Reds are in the driving seat according to Orstein.

Spanish club Real Madrid are also pursuing the midfielder but Liverpool look to be the favourites.

If Wijnaldum were to leave, we can’t see there being a better replacement than Camavinga.
