Liverpool often find themselves linked with some of the finest talent in football.

With the club reportedly set to try and sign at leats one new attacker in the summer, rumours fuel quickly.

One player that has found himself linked with a mega move in the future is Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.

Former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher featured on CBS Sports on Wednesday, where he and other pundits had to make a case for why their club should sign Haaland.

Of course, Carragher made the case as to why Liverpool should sign him.

It was an interesting argument, with one of the bigger takeaways being Carragher’s simple statement of “it’s the place for him”.

The quote was cited by AnfieldWatch on Twitter yesterday evening…

I can understand where Carragher is coming from despite the lack of depth in his argument.

Albeit the quote is only a snippet of his conversation, but the meaning is all the same.

Liverpool could provide a fantastic home for Haaland to grow and progress in one of the best leagues in the world.

The financial side of the move seems to be one of the hardest things to negotiate right now, but one thing for sure is that Liverpool would thrive with Haaland, and vice versa.

I think the youngster is a generational talent and he is clearly one of the future players of our sport.

If the Reds signed a player of that talent and magnitude, we could be set for years to come.
