Liverpool are reportedly ‘evaluating’ whether or not to make a move for Stade Rennais winger Jeremy Doku ahead of the summer window.

The 19-year-old has been regularly linked with the Reds since coming through the academy at Anderlecht and a move may eventually materialise.

Having moved from Belgium to the French Ligue 1, Doku has become a regular for both club and country.

Now according to a report from Calciomercato, as cited by RumorsTransfersNews24/ on Twitter, Liverpool could finally make a concrete swoop.

The report claims that the Anfield club are considering the cap starlet ‘for the summer’ as Jurgen Klopp looks to further strengthen the ranks.

So far this season Doku – who impressed Gary Lineker during Euro 2020 – has scored twice and provided two assists in 16 appearances across all competions.

Valued at £19.80million (Transfermarkt), signing the teenager who is equally adept from either wing would be a wholly affordable venture for the Reds.

Possessing scintillating pace, dribbling and skills, Doku would be a carbon copy of Sadio Mane and could eventually replace the Senegalese ace with some improvement in the final third.

Signing such a prodigious talent whilst still having frontline attacking options in place would allow Jurgen Klopp to bed the youngster in gradually and therefore likely see the Belgian reach maximum potential.
