Pundits wax lyrical over Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane
Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah produced a moment for the ages as the Reds drew 2-2 against Manchester City on Sunday at Anfield.
Despite being second best for much of the first half, the hosts were able to realign themselves at the break with the game goalless.
Jurgen Klopp’s side were much improved in the second half and took the lead when Salah skipped away from challenges before setting Sadio Mane free in front of goal to score.
The best of the heroics was yet to come however as the Egyptian pulled off a moment of genius to leave City defenders floored whilst restoring the Reds’ advantage.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Gary Neville was the first to hail the attacking duo.
They are the best. They have been the best for a number of years these two, in terms of their runs, from out to in and in-behind centre-backs. Dias sees the run late and he can’t stay with it. And he can’t stay with it. The finish is brilliant from Mane. He is world-class.
Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher echoed the thoughts of his punditry partner.
I don’t think there is anyone better playing in the world, or European football at this moment, I really don’t. His record at the start of this season is absolutely outstanding, you can never really question him for what he’s done at Liverpool.

Simply breathtaking.
Both men were at their sharpest in front of goal as Liverpool earned a hard-earned point to remain unbeaten.
With these two and in particular Salah in this form, Klopp’s side has every chance of going all the way on many fronts.
