Liverpool have been linked to a sensational swoop for Juventus star Paulo Dybala in the summer.

Having previously been expected to sign a new contract with i bianconeri, it would appear that the 28-year-old could now be set to leave as a free agent at the end of the season.

According to various reports from Italy, this has altered the Reds to the possibility of landing the decorated forward for nothing.

Citing the news on Twitter, many Liverpool fans were dismissive of the links to the Serie A star.

There was at least one optimistic Kopite amongst the responses…

This season Dybala has scored 11 times and provided four assists in 23 appearances across all competitions.

Signing a player valued at £45million (Transfermarkt) with such an illustrious career for free would appear to be a no-brainer.

However, perhaps scarred by previous transfer failings and a quick glance at a worrying injury record, Dybala wouldn’t necessarily be the superstar arrival he once might’ve been.

Despite that, there can be little doubting the Argentinian’s quality and having only missed seven games this term through slight issues, it’s not as cut and dried as it seems.

Still in the prime of a superb career and likely with plenty more to offer, Jurgen Klopp could do much worse than bolstering the Anfield attacking ranks with Dybala.
