Liverpool could reportedly be lining up to ‘pounce’ for highly-rated Barcelona starlet Gavi

The Reds have been extensively linked with the 17-year old in recent months and it appears a possible swoop could be on the horizon.

According to a fresh report from the Daily Mail, the Anfield club could be preparing a summer move for the gifted midfielder.

The report claims that Liverpool are ‘ready to offer’ a deal worth £3million per year with an £8million signing on fee to the four-cap Spain ace.

This season Gavi – hailed as ‘exceptional’ by Luis Enrique – has scored twice and provided three assists in 27 appearances across all competitions.

Out of contract in 2023 (Transfermarkt), this summer certainly presents a viable opportunity to sign the talented teen should no new deal be agreed.

Jurgen Klopp has seemingly already begun moulding the next generation of Liverpool stars, adding Gavi to the ranks would certainly be another step in that direction.

Already a key member of the Spanish senior side and Xavi’s first-team plans at the Camp Nou, the £36million valued starlet certainly possesses all the ability to thrive on Merseyside.
