Liverpool will be offered to sign one of four Real Madrid players in exchange for Virgil van Dijk.

That’s according to Diario Goal, who claim the Liga giants want to sign the Reds’ star man in the near future.

The 28-year-old is seen as a long-term replacement for Sergio Ramos, although a huge fee would be required to sign him.

Liverpool will reportedly be offered to bring in either Gareth Bale, Luka Modric, Isco or Marcos Asensio, with Van Dijk going the other way.

To put it bluntly, this is a rumour has carries very little truth whatsoever.

Firstly, Liverpool won’t even entertain the idea of selling Van Dijk, considering he is one of the most influential players in world football.

On top of that, both Bale and Modric’s best days are behind them, while Isco and Asensio have proved hit-and-miss during their time with Madrid.

Fortunately, the Reds are in a position when they are arguably a more appealing team to play for than Madrid, meaning Van Dijk would be taking a step backwards by heading to Santiago Bernabeu.
