Tuesday night saw a fine performance from the Reds, with a weakened team against Norwich City in the EFL Cup.

Despite the obvious changes in personnel, Jurgen Klopp’s side ran out a great 3-0 win at Carrow Road.

So far this season the Reds have really shown they are here to contend, with an unbeaten run in all competitions.

Last night saw the draw for the next round of the cup competition, with Liverpool drawing Preston North End.

The Reds will make the trip to Deepdale on the 25th of October with hopes of progressing to the fifth round…

As tweeted by the official Liverpool Twitter account above, it will be a great matchup with a familiar face on the horizon.

Liverpool youngster Sepp van den Berg is currently on loan at the Championship club.

Having joined them last season on loan, he has conitnued his progression this season on loan once again.

So far this season, the 19-year-old has played 8 games with 1 goal in the Championship.

It will be interesting to see whether he will feature against the Reds in late October or if he will have to sit out.

Either way, it will be another great opportunity for the Reds to utilise their depth and give fringe players chances.

Players such as Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi played incredibly well on Tuesday and will hopefully get more chances.
