Liverpool ran out a poorly played 1-1 draw with Leeds United last night in the Premier League.

The game came after the clubs announcement that they would be joining the proposed European Super League.

As you can expect, the reaction to the announcement was far from positive, with former Red Jamie Carragher voicing his thoughts.

The Sky Sports pundit labeled Liverpool’s decision to become a founding club was ‘sickening’.

Following that, the club’s manager, Jurgen Klopp, ensured he wants to maintain the special relationship with the fans.

This came during his post-match press conference, admitting that he feels responsible for the relationship between fans and club…

It must be an extremely difficult position for Jurgen Klopp to have to be in.

Considering that the players and himself and his staff were not told about the decision around the ESL, it is a tall order to have to defend it.

Klopp clearly doesn’t like the proposal, with him even stating in 2019 that he was against the idea.

It appeared as though those opinions haven’t changed, with him standing by his previous comments last night.

I can understand why he wants to ensure that relationship with the fan base, however.

Himself and his sqiad have always maintained a special bond during his tenure.

If that was to be ruined due to FSG’s greed, then the owners would be ran out of the club as soon as is humanly possible.
