Journalist says there is a ‘chance’ that Liverpool may sign £27m-rated English winger
Liverpool seem to be scouring the market to find the best players for the club’s budget and demands.
The Reds have so far signed Ibrahima Konaté from RB Leipzig to compliment the club’s options in central defence.
The club doesn’t seem content with just the Frenchman, with Fabrizio Romano even stating that fans should expect more signings.
According to The Mirror’s David Maddock, the club have a good chance of signing West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen.
In a piece for The Mirror, Maddock analysed the four transfer targets that have been mooted in the media.
Bowen has been one of the latest, with it thought he would provide great quality in depth for the club’s bench…
As cited by LFC Transfer Room above, Bowen could be the lastest name to walk through the doors at Anfield.
With the Africa Cup of Nations this winter, the club will no doubt be without Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mané for some time.
This means that in their absence, players of the right ability and quality will be needed to step in their place.
Of course, it is easier said than done to replace players of Mané and Salah’s quality.
However, for his market value and ability to play with both feet, Bowen could be more than an adequate start.
Transfermarkt put his market value at £27million, which with some negotiation can easily be a fee the club can meet.
It is still unsure as to whether the cub will make a move, with West Ham previously setting a £35million price tag.
If the Hammers stand by this figure, then Liverpool will likely struggle to meet it.
Time will tell if the club do want to make a move, wit Bowen a more than suitable signing for Jurgen Klopp.
