There has been plenty of reaction following Liverpool’s withdrawal from the European Super League plans.

The initial outrage of the decision has seen club owners FSG reverse their initial decision.

It was great news not just for Liverpool fans but fans all over the country with the other five English clubs also withdrawing.

So much so, that even Liverpool legend Sir Kenny Dalglish expressed his delight at the decision.

The former forward and manager took to Twitter last night, stating he was ‘relieved’ to know the club listened to the fans…

I think that Kenny speaks for the majority of the fan base when he expresses his relief.

Despite the owners’ arrogance and mistake behind this – they have listened and acted upon the fans’ wishes.

They could have easily ignored our pleas but instead they listened and made a change.

Whether they realised it or not, their actions behind this were simply down to greed.

They may say they did it for the good of the club, but it was not for the good of football.

As fans, we love our club and will always stand by them through thick and thin.

However, without the beauty and simplicity of our sport and the footballing pyramid, we wouldn’t have these clubs to support.
