Liverpool are reportedly ‘still interested’ in two attacking Premier League stars as the January transfer window approaches.

Despite maintaining a strong league position as well as qualification for the knockout phase of the Champions League and the semi-final of the Carabao Cup, the Reds are expected to delve into the market in the near future.

As key duo Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah prepare to head to the Africa Cup of Nations, at present, Jurgen Klopp could be forced to utilise lesser-seen options from the current crop.

According to a report from the Liverpool Echo, as cited by LFC Transfer Room on Twitter, Liverpool are keen on West Ham star Jarrod Bowen and Leeds United forward Raphinha.

The report claims that both are being ‘assessed’ by the Anfield hierarchy but a mid-season move is deemed as unlikely due to being ‘little appetite’ to spend in January.

So far this season Bowen has scored five times and registered seven assists in 26 appearances across all competitions.

Meanwhile, 25-year-old Brazilian star Raphinha has directly contributed to nine goals in 16 Premier League outings.

Both aged 25 and both with similar top-flight records thus far, either man arriving on Merseyside would offer a huge boost to the attacking ranks available to Klopp.

Predominantly operating from the right-wing – otherwise known as Mohamed Salah’s position – Bowen and Raphinha have played from the left as well as central roles.

Whilst the five-cap Brazil ace possesses a slightly high goal threat, Bowen’s work rate and endeavour would be perfectly suited to a Klopp led side.
