Liverpool will need to get back to winning ways at Arsenal after a disappointing draw at home to Burnley on Saturday.
If the Reds are going to set a new record points tally they must now win each of their three remaining fixtures, starting with Arsenal on Wednesday night at the Emirates.
Whilst the champions were dropping their first home points of the season on the weekend, their hosts Arsenal were losing the North London derby at nearest rivals Tottenham.
Mikel Arteta will be hoping his side can bounce back as their fading quest for European football next season continues.
This will be the third meeting between the two clubs this season, with Liverpool winning both previous fixtures. A 3-1 home win at Anfield in August in the Premier League was followed by an outrageous 5-5 draw in the Carabao Cup with Liverpool’s combination of fringe players and youngsters winning the tie on penalties.
The Gunners will be without Gabriel Martinelli who underwent knee surgery last month whilst goalkeeper Bernd Leno will miss out as he recovers from a knee issue. Young striker Eddie Nketiah will also serve the second of his three-match ban.
Both Matteo Guendouzi and Mezut Ozil have been sidelined for dubious reasons in recent weeks and it remains to be seen if they will return.
The Reds will be without captain Jordan Henderson for the remainder of the campaign as he recovers from a knee injury but James Milner and Xherdan Shaqiri have both been in full training of late.
Here’s how we think Klopp will line his team up:
GK - Alisson
The Golden Glove-chasing Brazilian will have been disappointed to concede against Burnley. He will go in search of another clean sheet on Wednesday.
RB - Trent Alexander-Arnold
Can expect to be back in from the start after watching Neco Williams take his place against Burnley. Will hope to be influential going forwards.
CB - JOE GOMEZ
It’s been a chequered restart for Gomez but he should continue to start ahead of Dejan Lovren whilst Joel Matip remains out injured.
CB - Virgil van Dijk
Not much to say on the man that hasn’t been said. One of the first names on the team sheet.
LB - Andy Robertson
Back to his best on Saturday and got himself on the score sheet. May not have calmed down after his rant at the officials!
CDM - Fabinho
The midfield spoiler has been imperious of late and can expect to continue in his role. Assisted Liverpool’s only goal on Saturday.
CM - Gini Wijnaldum
Wijnaldum is predicted to retain his place in the midfield in the absence of Henderson. His calmness on and off the ball will be influential.
CM - Naby Keita
Growing in confidence since the restart and should start in place of Curtis Jones.
RW - Mohamed Salah
Scored two in the previous Premier League encounter with Arsenal. Will need to get his shooting boots on if he wants to revive his fading Golden Boot hopes.
CF - Roberto Firmino
Integral to the way the Reds attack and a huge miss when he’s not around. Has previous for giving Arsenal defenders a torrid time and will be looking to get himself on the scoresheet.
LW - Sadio Mane
The Senegalese winger is expected to complete the first-choice front three. Will be looking to add to his 16 league goals this season.
