After a hard-fought match against Napoli on Wednesday night, Liverpool return to Premier League action less than 72 hours later with a game against Brighton at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds have been in excellent form in the league, winning 12 of the 13 league games played so far this season, drawing the other.
However, with a pile of fixtures coming up, it is best suited that they continue winning games in order to have their sizeable lead intact at the top of the table.
On Saturday, they will be up against a Brighton side who play good football under Graham Potter, especially in transition from defence to attack.
In terms of team news, Liverpool have confirmed that Fabinho is out with an ankle ligament injury, but Naby Keita is fit to be in the squad for this game, while Xherdan Shaqiri isn’t far away after being back in the training last week.
Here’s how we think Klopp may line his XI up:
GK - Alisson
No surprises here! The Brazilian international is Liverpool’s first-choice keeper and he will be in goal come Saturday.
RB - Trent Alexander-Arnold
He only played the last 15 minutes against Napoli. Klopp is certain to start him against Brighton.
CB - Dejan Lovren
With Joel Matip out and Joe Gomez’s form not up to the level required, Lovren should continue in central defence.
CB - Virgil van Dijk
There are not many doubts regarding his inclusion in the side for this game. The Dutchman will be aiming to keep his first Anfield clean sheet of this season.
LB - Andrew Robertson
The Scotsman is Liverpool’s first-choice left-back. He is a certainty to start on Saturday with hope to improve on his patchy performance against Napoli.
CDM - Adam Lallana
With Fabinho out, we think Lallana starts as a defensive midfielder in this game. The Englishman has a big role to play now, given that the Brazilian is out for at least six weeks.
RCM - Jordan Henderson
The captain is in line to keep his place in the right-hand side of the midfield. His energy and leadership is important for the team in such a busy period.
LCM - Naby Keita
Keita was confirmed to be fit to face Brighton by Klopp in the press conference. The Guinean international should get a start on Saturday in order to have time to settle down and then show his quality.
RW - Mohamed Salah
The Egyptian star wasn’t at his best against Napoli. It is clear that the ankle issue is troubling him from time to time. However, he is still seems certain to start this weekend.
ST - Roberto Firmino
The Brazilian international will lead the line on Saturday. Liverpool will want him to link-up play against a potentially deep-defending team.
LW - Sadio Mane
Mane wasn’t even close to his usual self on Wednesday. He will aim to get back into his best and start terrifying another defence on Saturday.
