Liverpool striker Liam Millar is being pursued by up to nine clubs, according to a report from Football Insider.

The 21-year-old looks set to be allowed to leave the club on loan for the season, however, the destination is as yet unknown.

Championship sides Stoke City, Millwall, QPR, Blackburn Rovers, Wycombe Wanderers, and Rotherham United are all reportedly interested in the forward.

The interest doesn’t end there though with Dundee United, Rayo Vallecano, and FC Zwolle all hoping to land the Canadian international too.

Millar arrived at the Reds in 2016 from Fulham’s academy and has become a regular part of the Under 23 side and he made his senior bow in the FA Cup fourth-round replay against Shrewsbury Town at Anfield last term.

The eight-times capped Canada man also played 90 minutes for the Reds Under 21 side that lost 3-2 to Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday night in the EFL Trophy.

It comes as no surprise to see that the club are willing to let the youngster go out on loan as opportunities in a well-furnished Liverpool first-team look almost an impossibility for Millar.

With a born goalscorer like Rhian Brewster also seemingly being close to a departure, the likes of Millar will know he has to go and learn his trade before he can push for a place in Jurgen Klopp’s plans.

This next move will be pivotal in Millar’s development after his disappointing spell on loan at Kilmarnock last season.
