Some Liverpool supporters are fully behind the idea of Erling Haaland moving to Anfield in the future.

The 20-year-old has already matured into one of one the world’s leading strikers, despite his tender years. Having shone in an RB Salzburg shirt, Haaland then moved to Borussia Dortmund, where he has already scored 24 goals in just 27 appearances.

The Norwegian has to be one of Europe’s most sought-after players on current form, with his rumoured €82m (£73.84m) release clause not active until 2022.

On Monday, Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund claimed on Sky Sports in Germany, via Goal, that Haaland would eventually be a Liverpool player, tipping him to join the Jurgen Klopp revolution over any other team.

It is a big statement from Freund, but you would like think he knows a thing or two about how the striker’s career could potentially play out.

Unsurprisingly, there was much excitement from a number of Liverpool fans on Twitter, who took to the social media platform to talk up the idea of Haaland playing for the Reds.
