A number of Liverpool supporters are desperate to see the Reds sign Erling Haaland as his staggering goalscoring form continues.

The young Norwegian is one of the most valuable players in the world right now, wreaking havoc for Borussia Dortmund. Haaland has been sensational for the Bundesliga giants since joining from RB Salzburg in January, scoring 26 goals in just 28 appearances.

The 20-year-old added another two to his collection on Wednesday night as Dortmund cruised to a 3-0 win away to Club Brugge. It means he has already scored more goals in the Champions League than Carlos Tevez (13), Dimitar Berbatov (13), Radamel Falcao (12), Olivier Giroud (12), George Weah (11), Romelu Lukaku (11), Michael Owen (11), Diego Costa (11) and Christian Vieri (10), as revealed by BT Sport on Twitter.

Not only that, but Haaland’s total of 14 in the competition has come in just 11 appearances, highlighting his brilliance. One Kopite called him a “next gen Messi” in an ode to the Barcelona icon who has scored more than 700 goals between club and international level.

Liverpool have been loosely linked with a move for the striker in recent days, which is undoubtedly exciting. These Reds took to Twitter to further talk up the idea of “unreal talent” Haaland moving to Anfield one day.
